A: I usually read one book in the summer holidays -I read quite slowly! Last summer I read the final Harry Potter book — it’s called Harry Potter an: the Deathly Hallows. I was surprised because Harry didn’t die! Anyway, there aren’t any more Harry Potter books, so this summer I’m going to read an old book — I’m going to read it because my English teacher always says ‘You must try and read some classics — she recommended Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen — she said it’s a great love story! But my sister read it, and she didn’t enjoy it. Oh well. I saw the film, and that was OK. I’m going to try and finish it before I go back to school in September. It isn’t really long — let’s see, ifs got 380 pages …
R: Well, every summer I usually read about three books — that’s about one a month for July, August and September. This summer I think I’m going to read the Lord of the Rings trilogy, so that’s my three books! I read a lot when its rainy, but I don’t often read when the weather’s good — because then I always go out, with my friends, and do sport and stuff… Anyway, I think I’m going to like The Lord of the Rings because I enjoyed the films. The characters were fantastic, and the landscapes … and everything really. The last book I read was by a writer called Anthony Horowitz — it was a book called Snakehead. It was about the super-spy Alex Rider, and he was in Australia …It was quite long, but it was a good story …
