There are so many people in the world who are dying from diseases and we spend billions of dollars and euros on space research. It is unfair to sick people. This money should be used for different medical research which helps us to overcome cancer, AIDS and other deadly diseases. Then thousands of people won’t die. It’s all the same to them if scientists find a new star or planet or not. They just want to live.
Speaker B.
I believe that the situation is really serious. Our Earth is dying. By exploring space we can find another planet that we can live on. Of course, now it seems impossible. But I am sure we’ll manage it one day. We must learn to think not only about ourselves and our children but about other generations as well.
Speaker C.
We are ruining our planet. We don’t care for our rivers and seas, our forests and the air, the animals and birds. Unfortunately, most people only think about money and their own comfort. Would we agree to ruin other planets to satisfy our needs? Of course, we would! Due to space exploration people think that there will be another planet for us in space. So, we don’t have to look after this one.

A lot of people are against space exploration because there are so many serious problems here on the Earth. I don’t agree with them. I believe that reaching new heights often creates new opportunities. We don’t need to spend great sums of money in space, but space exploration as a part of general scientific research is very important. It’ll help us in many spheres of our life: from satellites measuring floods to new techniques in hospitals.
